This talk will\nexplore the impact of self-leadership in unlocking success and the role that education plays in shaping\nnot only knowledge but identity, reputation, opportunities and ultimately success. She hopes to inspire\nthe audience to master self-leadership and see academia as not just a path to qualifications, but as a\ntransformative leadership tool for building a lasting legacy – one that enhances personal brand, cultivates\nleadership, and creates impact in every sphere of life.\nDr Thandekile (Thandi) Ngxongo Bio\nDr Ngxongo, founder of Thandekile Group, is a visionary leader in the oil and gas industry with a strong\nacademic foundation, holding qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Project Management, an MBA,\nand a PhD. Rising from an engineering position to C-suite executive roles, she now owns petrol stations in\nKwaZulu-Natal, including the BP Flagship on Moore Road. Thandi has earned numerous accolades,\nincluding the Nedbank Womandla Award, KZN Top Business awards, Global SHE awards and the Hadarat\nGlobal Woman of Stature Award in Dubai. An impactful speaker on global platforms like Forbes Leading\nWomen Summit, Thandi also leads the uThandekile Foundation which supports education, women\nempowerment and environmental initiatives.
